Most of the time, we totally have a cooking show happening in our kitchen! Our little chefs love to help prep veggies, mix ingredients, and help out with baking. Here is a roundup of our favorite kitchen gadgets we use when cooking with kids. We love using them at home with our littlest helpers!

Cooking with Kids Favorites!

  1. Straight Blade Knife: This cute dog knife is designed to be sharp enough to cut food but not small fingers. That’s an essential safety precaution when cooking with kids! The dog’s ears even serve as a finger guard!
  2. Serrated Blade Knife: This is another version of the dog knife, with a blade that is serrated and sharp enough to cut through bread or fruit peels, but not little fingers.
  3. Nylon Knife Set: These nylon knives come in a 3-piece set, including small, medium and large serrated knives with blunt tips. They have large, easy-to-hold handles for kids.
  4. Magnetic Measuring Spoons: We love this set of stainless steel measuring spoons because they are double-sided! They each have a round side designed for holding liquid, and a narrow side perfect for reaching into a spice jar! The spoons are also magnetic, which allows they to be neatly stacked and stored.
  5. Magnetic Measuring Cups: After purchasing our magnetic measuring spoons, we decided to get the same style for our measuring cups! This stainless steel set has nice non-slip grip that’s easy for kids to hold. There is also a magnetic section on each handle, which means they store together very easily.
  6. Silicone Utensil Set: This set includes 8 silicone utensils with bamboo handles AND a utensil holder to store them all in. We keep it right on our kitchen counter, next to the stove. With silicone utensils, we don’t worry about the girls accidentally scratching our cookware when they help stir!
  7. Glass Mixing Bowls with Spouts: We love to mix ingredients directly into these glass measuring bowls with spouts. It makes it so easy for the girls to help measure, stir, and then pour. This set includes 1-cup, 2-cup, 4-cup, and our favorite 8-cup measuring size. The cups can all be stacked into one another for easy storage.
  8. Flexible Cutting Boards: These flexible cutting boards are a safe place to chop veggies. Then we simply bend the mats and the girls can pour the ingredients into a pot/pan!
  9. Edge Brownie Pan: My favorite brownie pieces are the crunchy corner and edge pieces, and this fun pad adds 2 crunchy edge pieces to EVERY brownie slice! It’s durable with a non-stick coating, and the girls love helping to spread the batter.
  10. Wavy Chopper Knife: This knife is perfect for cutting fancy edges on various fruits and vegetables, adding a fun design that also makes food easy for toddler hands to pick up.
  11. Ultra Non-Stick Frying Pan: This ceramic-coated pan is our favorite for cooking scrambled eggs, and they slide right off the pan! It has a solid aluminum construction and can even go into the oven.
  12. Donut Pan: Homemade donuts are one of our favorite weekend morning treats. This 2-pan set has a non-stick coating, and we love trying out new creative flavors and decorations: here’s our recipe for Pumpkin Carrot Cake donuts.

Cooking with kids is a joyous part of our family rhythm and these kitchen items are well loved and easy for kids to use!
