Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Our three daughters are currently ages 7, 5, and 2. We love to use the holidays to focus on giving them items in the categories of “something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to learn or read.” We also add on “stocking stuffer” gifts that include small items like art supplies, games, toiletries, and learning activities. Here’s some of our favorite stocking stuffer ideas for under $15 each.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Kwik Stix paint sticks – Our girls LOVE painting, but it can get messy quickly. These paint sticks are a fun alternative! Kids can enjoy painting without all of the mess. The washable paint sticks don’t require any smocks, cups, water, or brushes. You simply take the cap off, twist the paint stick up, and then paint. It’s mess-free fun!

Magic Stix markers – This set of washable markers is designed to last for 7 days without drying out with the cap off. They have a triangular shape that helps kids be able to hold them with a stable tripod grasp, and also helps them to not roll off the table. They also include a carrying case for easy storage. They’re the best markers!

Wonder Stix chalk crayons – These are like a dustless chalk crayon that can draw on lots of different surfaces. They work great on construction paper, poster board, and cardboard boxes. They are wipeable if used on whiteboards, chalkboards, windows, or glass. It’s a fun multi-surface drawing option for kids!

Scribble Scrubbie – All 3 of our daughters love drawing on these washable animal figures, and then cleaning them with the little scrub brush and water. They can cover the animals with a unique and colorful design, and then wash them clean and start again!

Best Kids’ Jokes Ever! book – Our daughters love reading, learning, and retelling the jokes in this book. It includes a variety of riddles and jokes on a range of topics, and brings lots of giggles in our home!

Skillmatics card game: Called It! – This game includes cards with images of animals of different sizes including a fly, mouse, turtle, tiger, and whale. Players turn over their top card into the center at the same time, and the first person to spot and call out the biggest animal that is turned over collects all the cards in the center and adds them to their pile. The player with all the cards at the end wins the game! It’s a fun, fast-paced visual card game that is easy to learn and fun to play.

Klee Naturals nail polish and lip shimmer – Our girls love having their own nail polish and lip stick so they can be “fancy”. This set is perfect for kids, because the nail polish is water-based, quick-drying, and can be peeled off without the use of harsh nail polish removers. The lip shimmer is made with shea butter, beeswax, and organic olive oil, so it is nourishing to little lips while also including a hint of fun color. (also available on Amazon)

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Under $15

About me

Hi, my name is Tyler Moore. My wife and I live with our three young daughters in a 700- square-foot apartment in New York City. I began my tidying journey when an early-30’s crisis invited me to reflect upon, challenge, and change my patterns of daily living. I quit my job as a school administrator, returned to teaching, and started Tidy Dad to help others tidy, simplify, and find joy in their lives. I firmly believe the tidying process can transform your life. I’d love for you to join me in exploring ways that tidying can make room for what’s important in life.
