We love how updating lighting can transform a room! After purchasing our cottage, we first focused on selecting large furniture items, outfitting the bedrooms, and stocking the kitchen with all the necessary supplies. Then we moved on to choosing decorative details that help to bring a modern cottage design feel to our home.
It was fun to select some new lighting items from lights.com to add ambiance and warmth to our space! We focused on table lamps, lanterns, and light bulbs!
We added two new table lamps with clear globes with vintage Edison bulbs to one of the bedrooms. We love that these lamps include a dimmer switch for adjustable mood lighting.
In the living area we added two teardrop flameless lanterns. The lanterns are controlled by a simple on/off switch at the bottom. They also have a daily five-hour timer which can be set to turn on the lantern automatically at the same time each day.
We also added four solar powered lanterns to our outdoor dining area. The lanterns charge all day and then light up automatically as the sun sets, creating a realistic flickering flame effect for up to 6 hours.
We replaced the 8 bulbs in our chandelier with vintage candelabra bulbs. These bulbs are dimmable, allowing us to adjust the light to our desired ambiance.
We are proud brand ambassadors for lights.com, and we’re sharing the cottage lighting we love. We may earn a small percentage commission for products purchased through these links at no extra cost to you.
