We partnered with Alexander James for tile to makeover our kitchen tile backsplash and we are so excited to share our kitchen tile reveal! They have so many beautiful tile choices. You can use the code TIDYDAD15 for 15% off any Alexander James tile purchase.
Our kitchen at our Woodland Cottage finally feels finished! The previous homeowners updated the kitchen with new tile flooring, cabinets, granite countertops, and appliances. They left the walls between the countertop and cabinets bare, and we decided to add a tile backsplash. After carefully considering several tile options, Emily and I chose a tile that we thought would compliment the existing design features of the kitchen. The installation process is finished and we’re so happy with the final result!
We partnered with Alexander James for tile to makeover our kitchen tile backsplash and previewed 9 samples in our space, before selecting a high gloss ceramic tile in Handcraft Crème.
Here’s what the kitchen looked like before:
We decided to hire a professional to lay the tile, which allowed us to act as spectators as each tile was laid. We chose a tile that has a subtle gradated pattern. As it was installed we were able to watch the beauty of the pattern come to life!
The distance between the countertop and the bottom of the cabinet is 18 inches. This was the perfect size to fit 7 of the 2.5″ tiles, with a small grout line between each tile. We chose a tile grout color that closely matched the color of the crème tile.
After letting the grout set for 24 hours, I gave the tile a good scrub. We are so pleased with how it turned out!
Here are some AFTER photos of the kitchen:
The tile helps to add a finishing touch to the space and compliments the tile floor and granite backsplash. It feels as if the three materials were meant to be together!
And here’s a little side-by-side BEFORE and AFTER:
Thanks again to Alexander James for partnering with us for this project. If you’re considering your own tile project, be sure to check out their full selection of tile and request samples! You can use the code TIDYDAD15 for 15% off any Alexander James tile purchase.
