We love to try out new pizza dough recipes. Friday nights in our household are officially known as “Pizza and Baking Show” nights!
We roll up our sleeves, make homemade pizza dough, and try to invent new ways to enjoy one of our favorite savory treats. The girls love to help me knead and roll out the dough, and of course LOVE to place on the toppings!
We then enjoy our pizzas while watching our favorite baking shows together as a family. Who needs movies when you have baking shows?!?
Martha Stewart’s Quick Basic Dough Recipe is by far the most user-friendly dough recipe I’ve come across. I’ve modified the recipe slightly at the kneading stage. My dough is typically pretty sticky after the first proof, so it’s helpful to add an additional 1 cup to 2 cups of flour!

Every once in a while it’s fun to bake a Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza. Our Lodge cast iron skillet is the perfect baking dish for a deep crust pizza that is filled with layers of cheese, pepperoni, and veggies!

My wife and I live with our three young girls in a 700-square-foot apartment in New York City. I started Tidy Dad to help others tidy, simplify, and find joy in their lives. I firmly believe the tidying process can transform your life. I’d love for you to join me in exploring ways that tidying can make room for what’s important in life.

Hi, my name is Tyler Moore. My wife and I live with our three young daughters in a 700- square-foot apartment in New York City. I began my tidying journey when an early-30’s crisis invited me to reflect upon, challenge, and change my patterns of daily living. I quit my job as a school administrator, returned to teaching, and started Tidy Dad to help others tidy, simplify, and find joy in their lives. I firmly believe the tidying process can transform your life. I’d love for you to join me in exploring ways that tidying can make room for what’s important in life.
