When Emily and I were newlyweds, we established a “whoever is home first, cooks” rule! We would meal plan and grocery shop together on the weekends and then trade off cooking duties during the week. We enjoyed trying out new recipes and learning how to cook for each other!
Life certainly changed after the birth of our daughters, and as the demands of life changed, so did our meal time routines. We no longer had time to scour the internet or cookbooks for new recipes, and we fell back on the same repetitive meals. We were stuck in a rut.
