Tonight we reset the playroom for a new week of play. This week’s playroom reset is ANIMAL THEME!
Our family of 5 lives in a 750-square-foot apartment in New York City. Several years ago we transformed the small room that connects our living room to the bedrooms into a playroom for the girls. We also turned our pantry into a toy rotation closet after completing a toy inventory, so that we don’t have to store toys in the playroom. The playroom measures 7 feet wide and 11 feet long, and this is the room where all of the play happens!
Our three girls love to take toys that have been out in the playroom for a while and put them back into the toy rotation closet, and then bring new things out. This system allows us to maximize space in the playroom because precious floor space isn’t used to store toys. It’s fun to rotate out toys and set up new play experiences for the girls.
Here’s a look at all of the items we placed in our playroom reset: Animal Theme!
Animal Sets
Puzzles
Music
Pull Along Snail 2-in-1 Musical Instrument
Movement
Games

My wife and I live with our three young girls in a 700-square-foot apartment in New York City. I started Tidy Dad to help others tidy, simplify, and find joy in their lives. I firmly believe the tidying process can transform your life. I’d love for you to join me in exploring ways that tidying can make room for what’s important in life.

Hi, my name is Tyler Moore. My wife and I live with our three young daughters in a 700- square-foot apartment in New York City. I began my tidying journey when an early-30’s crisis invited me to reflect upon, challenge, and change my patterns of daily living. I quit my job as a school administrator, returned to teaching, and started Tidy Dad to help others tidy, simplify, and find joy in their lives. I firmly believe the tidying process can transform your life. I’d love for you to join me in exploring ways that tidying can make room for what’s important in life.
